Vision IT seeks the services of a Senior IT Knowledge Manager for our San Antonio, TX client.

Responsibilities May Include (but are not limited to) the following:

Senior IT Knowledge Manager will be responsible for providing assistance with maintaining/editing clients SharePoint Portal and Maintaining working relationships across ESA-BAD, PEO and IOD in order to provide support to our federal client.

Additional Duties Include:

  • Create document templates to be utilized byPEO and/or IOD/POB Program/Project Managers and ESA-BAD solution architects and IOD system engineers
  • Actively participate in KM process development and improvement initiatives. Document and maintain internal KM Team framework and procedures.
  • Create and update on an annual basis, or as needed, technical, procedural, and agreement documentation, such as SOPs, Memorandums For Record (MFRs), EXSUMs, Operating Level Agreements (OLAs), Memorandums Of Agreement (MOAs), Memorandums Of Understanding (MOUs), information papers, briefings, governance documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide broad-based technical editing and writing skills used to identify and correct grammatical and formatting errors ensuring documents conform to the appropriate template.
  • UseDoD guidance in order to establish standardized templates and style guides typically used with the management of information systems. Utilize word processing and desktop publishing software applications to produce required technical documentation and process flowcharts.
  • Efficiently communicate in written and verbal forms with technicians, project managers, leadership, and high-level customers, to obtain and deliver accurate information in the production of artifacts and documents. Transform technical jargon into fluid, organized, cohesive, and comprehensible documents.
  • Confer with technical subject matter experts, leadership, and other individuals to produce required technical documentation.
  • In addition to items listed in Paragraph 5.7,serves as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures development and management. Establishes and maintains a Knowledge Management Framework that details management of document artifacts and versioning control.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized repository for Service Knowledge Management System (SKMS) to house all organization foundational documents including templates, System EngineeringPlans (SEPs), documented Configuration Items (CIs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Memorandum For Record (MFRs) and other such documents.
  • Utilize the client's Report of the Day, or other approved notification vehicles, to promote situational awareness and minimizes service disruptions related to change approvals and/or implementation activities which impact the production environment.
  • Develops a data management plan that defines data types, and processes for publication and dissemination. Ensures that backup and prevention/recovery files are maintained in a versioned controlled repository.

Required Education, Experience, Clearance and Certification(s):

  • 4+ years experience
  • Bachelors in a related field (Experience will be accepted in lieu of education)
  • DoD Secret Clearance
